PTI is a training assessment tool designed to help improve the success and training outcomes of trainees by illuminating individual traits that either enhance or hinder progress in the training environment. PTI recognizes that each person is different and therefore reacts uniquely to teaching techniques and delivery.

Leveraging the Presage IP, PTI delivers the granularity of WHY a trainee may be struggling with specific learning scenarios and provides additional guidance for both the instructor and trainee that is not otherwise present in the current environment. These psychological insights can unveil the full potential of the trainee, optimizing trainee and instructor insights on the invisible barriers to learning and performance.

The psychological profiles and foundational personality profile database leveraged in PTI were developed by Presage using qualitative and quantitative data collected from both helicopter and fixed-wing pilots attending the largest commercial training provider over a two-year period. The functionality and performance of PTI was then rigorously tested through hundreds of hours of live simulator training exercises. The PTI tool evaluates the relationship between pilot persona types, and how they shape learning capabilities with operational guidance on how to enhance situational awareness - the precursor to learning and performance.
